Born in South Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand in 1975 he grew up in the 1980s – a decade defined by the dawn of personal computing and digital innovation.

Through School he enjoyed Art and Design classes and was invited to exhibit at Fisher Gallery, Pakuranga in his 7th form (year 13). Whitcliffe Art College invited Andy to join their following years intake based off his exhibited work.

Andy however with the pull of the exciting developments in information technology decided at that pivotal stage in his life to pursue Business Studies at Auckland University of Technology instead.

After a period of study and working full time in his Fathers business, Andy left to the UK on his Overseas Experience (Big OE) where he worked in Information Technology for a telecommunications company initially doing Desktop support and then moving into Server Support and Projects.

After working in the UK and taking the opportunity to travel through Europe and South Africa he returned to New Zealand.

He entered the Telecommunications industry again and has been involved there since in many roles across I.T and Business Change Management.

During the Covid Pandemic Andy once again started creating art and after seeing Resin art on YouTube decided that was a medium he would like to learn.

Between family life and his full time work, Andy finds time to create artwork and products as he learns and refines his techniques and style.

Why ANDEE?

The name Andee is a playful twist on his own name, Andy (short for Andrew), but it’s so much more than that. He wanted a brand name that felt unique, memorable, and full of personality—just like the art and handmade goods he creates. Andee captures the essence of creativity and individuality, while also giving the freedom to build a brand that stands on its own. It’s not just a name; it’s a reflection of his journey as an artist and their commitment to crafting pieces that bring joy and inspiration to everyday life. Plus, let’s be honest—it’s fun to say!
